Digital Engagement #10

Coming into this class, I didn’t know what to expect. I was thinking to myself, what is digital studies? Throughout my time in this class I have learned skills that I didn’t know before. I experimented with my website where I created a digital space that showcased my personality, I had never made a website before and learning how to do that was somewhat difficult, but the work paid off. I learned how to use a microphone and camera from the HCC to create a digital creativity and audio project. I messed around with online editing tools and learned how to use those. We talked about AI use, how technology effects the physical environment we’re in and our mental environment. Our class discussions were very engaging, and I liked listening to other people’s viewpoints on the topics we were talking about. My favorite activity was when we taught the class with our presentation, my group was technology and mental health and through teaching the class I also learned more about that topic myself. Now I can say I know what digital studies is, it is all of the things I listed above, and learning this information is helpful for everyday life.
